Crawling typically involves a low geared R/C car with high center of gravity and loads of torque. The crawler is made to go over obstacles most R/C cars wouldn’t manage. Usually crawlers are electric and some can climb at almost 90 degree angles due to their outstanding grip and torque. Most crawlers don’t go above 1/10th scale as too big of a rock crawler makes the sport too easy and less fun.
The wastelands is home to a variety of crawler courses that include rock piles, hill climbs and an expansive obstacle course. Courses are designed, maintained and updated by members.
